Hi, I just had to make an account for this! I have been using a natural sunscreen that works wonders for me! I get it from: https://itchy.net.au

    Here is the ingredient list:
Caprylic/capric triglyceride(plant oil derived), rose hip oil, grape seed oil, sesame seed oil, shea butter, d-aplha tocopheryl(vitamin e) and 260mg/g Zinc Oxide
It has the highest amount of zinc oxide I have found of any product AND there is no water in the ingredient list so it doesn’t dry my skin out! I really recommend trying this out!

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately the product does contain fragrance, at least it does in the country where I live.
    Grahams Sunclear SPF30:

@Peter i believe i shared this… sorry for the late reply

The Ordinary Azelaic Acid – boo
I compared 3 Azelaic Acid products since Australia is one of the lucky countries where i can get uber expensive Finacea Gel (cost >$100 in USA) for under $30 here OTC. Also compared with Australian pharma group Ego’s Azclear.
Conclusion: Last place goes to The Ordinary Azelaic Acid

    Hylamide HA Blur – fail

compared to other primers i have used.. the texture is too thick it made stuff on my face ball up.

Bought the Ordinary 2 primers to compare… they are out of stock. SUPER out of stock. you can’t even order it from Deciem. The stores in Sydney are bare.

It’s so annoying constantly almost half of the products are out of stock. I really want to try the High-Adherence Silicone Primer, since I like the Hylamide HA Blur very much but it’s quite expensive.
At the moment you can’t order the 2% retioid, tetra-c, ascorbyl glucoside, alpha lipoic acid, high adherence primer and argireline.

My tetra-c is almost empty and I really want to try the high adherence primer.

Today I bought Aloe Vera Gel and pure Glycerin, as alternatives for shaving cream. Tomorrow I’m going to test if it works better than the cleansing milk I have been using.
I could choose between these 2, but I’ve chosen the first one. Panthenol can be sticky…

i tested the primer in the Deciem showroom… you can AMA
good luck with the aloe vera. Previously Randy says you can’t tell by the ingredients alone :(

Peter I am continually not impressed how each option try to pull the wool over the customer’s eyes … the bottom one says 99% but it’s 99% gel not 98% aloe vera.

TOP one Dr organics & price turn me off completely. I would not pick either.

    Sorry.

    @ Preciousia

But I don’t care for the Aloe Vera, I only want a good slippery shaving kind of gel. After shaving I rinse it off, so beneficial ingredients don’t even work. So 99% or 3% Aloe I don’t mind, if a pure silicone gel works I would choose that ;-). The first product costs €9.90/200mL and the second €8.75/200mL in The Netherlands, so as a shaving gel I find that price oke. The Cleansing milks I’ve used were €8.99/200mL, €6.95/200mL and the cheapest €3.49/200mL.

This morning I tried the Aloe gel. I think it gave me the kind of gel like slippery feel I was looking for. A protective layer stayed on the skin while shaving, but it rinsed of very easily as well. The cleansing milks are more creamy, so a bit less slippery, they don’t rinse of as easily, but perhaps that provides a better protective layer. I have to try it for about 2 weeks to be sure if it really works. But I’m interested in the pure Glycerin gel as well, on my hands it felt like a slippery gel, so it might work as well.

I will let you know how it goes!

Hmmm i was baulking at the Amazon price which was USD20+ ouch

Really good to know that it is cheaper than I thought.

So you bought this Dr Organic Organic Aloe Vera Gel 200mL Double Strength

    I found better information here

What do you think of this marketing spin here:

    The Dr. Organic Promise:

    • Organic Ingredients: We strive to use organically grown ingredients. When an organic ingredient cannot be used we always source sustainable natural alternatives.
    • Bioactive Ingredients: We use certified bioactive extracts to ensure each product is truly functional by nature.
    • No Harsh Chemicals: We do not use ingredients often criticised for their side effects. We never use parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) perfumes or artificial fragrances.
    • No Animal Ingredients: All our products are suitable for vegetarians. In some instances we use by- products from animals such as snail gel or as in the case of bee’s wax, honey, propolis, and royal jelly.
    • No Animal Testing: Our Products are always tested on human volunteers to ensure they are entirely safe and effective. No animal tests are ever performed on finished products or raw materials.
    • No Mineral Oils: Petro-chemicals such as paraffin and petroleum are avoided, plant based oils and extracts are used.
    • No GM Ingredients: Genetically modified or genetically engineered organisms are avoided to ensure all formulations are as natural as possible.
    • Preservatives: Where necessary preservatives are used to guarantee product safety and shelf life. Only the highest grade broad spectrum naturally derived preservatives are used.

At the price you shared €9.90/200mL = AUD13,65

that’s fair. similar to the prices here.

Amazon does a crap job at selling products there isn’t much info on the initial link

I really hope the aloe gel goes well for you… if noti was going to suggest a hair gel lol :D

There is this bottle of hair gel sitting in my cupboard that has actually rather interesting ingredients, perhaps even possibly not too bad for the face (except parfum you will not approve)… does hair/skin products go both ways… sometimes they do.

    What do you think?

Ingredients: Water Aqua, VP/Dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate Copolymer, PVP, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Polysorbate-20, Triisopropanolamine, Carbomer, DMDM Hydantoin, Sorbitol, Propylene Glycol, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Olealkonium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Panthenol, Gelatin/Keratin Amino Acids/Lysine Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Fragrance (Parfum), Ext. Violet 2 CI 60730.

Glycerin viscosity is too low don’t bother.. You need like a xanthan gum, or carbomer even hylauronic acid can help thicken it. glycerin isn’t really good for the skin and i wouldn’t use 100%! :) i forget the recommended quantity was it 5 or 10?

Since it wouldn’t be on your skin for long, perhaps it isn’t too important to get one with good… look forward to your updates on what works! How fun… my hubby stands by aloe vera for shaving. :)

if it is too tough to wipe, get a micro fibre towel

The Glycerin I have is very thick, much more viscous than the Aloe Gel. But do you think it’s bad when your face is wet and you rinse it off immediately?

I’m a bit worried about the sensitization to Aloe, Anthraquinones can form free radicals as well, see this post
On AsianBeauty I’m getting downvoted as well. It’s really true they only want to hear positive things about asian skincare (look at the bottom of the page, I deleted my comments already).

no… not bad… carry on. Glycerin is good for skin but perhaps at too high concentration for cosmetics it not ideal. Since you leave on for a short time only (for shaving)  no harm… and you can use glycerin to play with your niacinamide. made a simple serum/toner, :) good to play with

Sorry to hear about your downvotes. :( I wonder why they are so nasty to you! omg! I couldn’t find it at first. I have reported the nasty people. Such behaviour is likened to cyber bullying. A lot of the participants are much younger than you and me. half my age too. I’m 37. Another girl was only 21. Big difference in terms of experience.

That’s why they are so immature in their speech. I have to think that to forgive them because they are young and they don’t know what they are doing is hurtful.

it is human nature. They like to hear only what they want to hear.  It’s not too bad, Please do not let it get to you. Take a step backwards. I had like several nasty comments yesterday. Trolls.  the correct response is to NOT RESPOND. or internet slang do not feed the trolls :)

Catholics will know St Therese who said. “Do not Engage, but Pray”. I often think of her when the bullies come and remember to be above it. Their remarks do not dignify a response.

They do that because they are empowered by the anonymity of the internet. You can see, some accounts are special “troll” accounts, as people do not sacrifice their main account to say nasty things. Check the account details of the offenders/perpetrators in the future. Often when they say a nasty comment is to incite you to respond and slip your tail. Do not be nasty back. It is on them if they want to be nasty. I don’t soil my fingers typing negativity.

Reddit karma is a silly thing really. You can buy food or beauty with it, as it is you have a superb and healthy karma (which means you have contributed) and many have found you helpful. Really impressed with how many points you garnered since you started :) I am going to catchup hehe… competitive streak

When I posted my negative review 10 Deciem products I had a lot of downvotes too. Someone said I should expect it to perform lousier as the products are cheap. but overall… the percentage was like 60-70% going up and down like crazy with like 80 votes in a short term of 4 hours with majority of the users (America) still in bed.

If you like i shall set up SkinCareGOLD for premium quality members (gold only) to discuss and cut out the crappy idiots. i do find the interface more user friendly :)
