I can’t stand the way my hair feels right now. I need a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the build up. What do you like and has been effective for you?
I tried the Dry Bar Happy Hour Blowout clarifying shampoo. Meh. I used it a 1-2x/week to the bottom of the bottle but I wouldn’t buy it again.

I use Clairol Herbal Essences Body Envy shampoo every third day and it does the trick nicely. It’s a little drying, but most clarifying shampoos are. I just condition well afterward.
Look for something without silicones/polyquats. The shampoo usually will say clarifying, chelating, deep cleansing, adds volume, or adds body.Pantene Damage Detox, Pantene Sheer Volume, Suave Clarifying, Suave Naked Volume, Neutrogena Anti Residue, and Kenra Clarifying are a few great options. Free and Clear makes a fragrance free shampoo without conditioning ingredients that deposit onto hair after rinsing. It’s sulfate free and doesn’t foam. I haven’t tried it.Vo5 makes a few options as well. A clarifying shampoo is definitely something you should not spend much on.
