Will the new Loreal Elseve total repair extreme serum mend hair split ends?

Hello Brains,

L’Oreal’s brand Elseve boasts the new infredient – the so called LAK 1000 – which is claimed to repair split ends. From what i’ve read before the only cure for split ends is a haircut. What do you think about this new technology?
