I currently use a shampoo from the drugstore with these ingredients: Water/Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Xylenesulfonate, Fragrance, Cocamide MEA, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium EDTA, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Linoleamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.
I was looking at a more expensive shampoo with the following ingredients: Aqua / Water / Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Cocamide Mipa, Hexylene Glycol, Parfum / Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate, Salicylic Acid, Glycol Distearate, Aloe Barbadensis / Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Methyl Cocoate, Coumarin, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Benzyl Alcohol, Hydroxycitronellal, Citric Acid, Amyl Cinnamal, Sodium Cocoate, Passiflora Edulis Fruit Juice, Bisabolol. They are very similar but is it worth the switch?

Based on the ingredients, I don’t see how the second one could be different enough to merit a big difference in cost. So I say no. (Unless you really love the fragrance or some other aesethetic factor.)
