I am planning to sell unrefined natural oils as part of my
hair/body care range. Just wanted to find out if I’d have to go through the
same testing as other personal care products? Since oils are not formulations I
thought regulations could be a bit less rigid?
No, Just the same, sometimes more. You need to do enough testing to be able to ensure that the product is safe and suitable for use through out the products shelf-life.
Exactly. You have to prove your products are safe. Just because something is “natural” does not mean it’s automatically safe. In fact, many of the most dangerous substances known are natural.
