O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet Cream – look at the label

There must be a lot of people suffering from dry feet because O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet cream is the number seven best  selling beauty product on Amazon.com this week. Let’s look at the label.

Apparently what makes this product so special is that it contains an unusually high level of glycerin which can bind moisture to skin. (You don’t typically see glycerin featured as the second ingredient in a formula.) It also contains paraffin wax and dimethicone which will coat the feet and provide an effective barrier. Allantoin is also a known skin soothing ingredient.

Interestingly this is also a soap-type emulsion because it is made with a fatty acid and an alkaline base.

O’Keeffe’s Healthy Feet Cream Ingredients

Would the ingredients that are in O’Keefe’s for Healthy Feet be harmful to use on face as a night cream?

    • Randy Schueller November 12, 2014, 3:12 pm

It wouldn’t be harmful to your face (although some people are prone to acne breakouts from heavy creams like this.)

I’ve read that glycerin can be harmful to skin if it is synthetic because it is then petroleum-based. Do you know if Okeeffe’s uses natural glycerin?

    • Randy Schueller July 10, 2017, 7:06 am

It doesn’t matter whether glycerin is natural or synthetic. Petroleum based glycerin is not more harmful to your skin.

Is the urea percentage available for O’Keeffe’s healthy feet ?

I have an allergy to acrylates are there any in the O’Keeffe products?

    Thank you

Look for Carbomer or Acrylates copolymer on the ingredient list. If there isn’t any listed, then they aren’t in the product.

O’keefe’s foot cream works great on my dry skin but I’m concerned the paraffin wax and glycerin does not allow my skin to breathe. I stopped using it as it felt odd so I checked the ingredients and there they were !!

Paraffin wax and glycerin do not affect your skin’s ability to breath.
