Rixie Writes:
Is it true that castor oil is good for the stimulation of hair and lashes growth? How does this work?
The Right Brain Rapidly Responds:
Castor oil does not make your hair or eyelashes grow faster or longer. Check out our previous post on hair growth stimulation and eye lashes.

My own (anecdotal for you, good enough for me
) experiences with castor oil showed that it does indeed make hair grow.
I used it on my eyelashes, lining the upper lashline with castor oil at bedtime. If I did this consistently I would see definite improvement in 2-3 weeks: longer and thicker and more eyelashes.
If I stopped, they slowly went back to normal.
I tried this several times over the years so I know it’s not a one time wonder.
Thanks for the comment. Very interesting. I’m curious how the hairs went “back to normal”. Did they somehow shrink?
They went back to normal = the way they had been before the castor oil. Less long and dense and thick.
Try it yourself for 3 weeks. Just don’t get it in your eyes, it stings. And take pictures.
I might actually do this myself, just for kicks, only I need to find a store that sells it here. (Moved to a new country recently.)
I’ll come back and report if/when I do this experiment with photographic evidence.
try cold compress castor oil, its more natural and has more of the nutrients in it. Whole Foods is a great place to look… and if it burns when its in your eye than there must be some sort of chemical in because i use castor oil to treat my dry eyes and it doesn’t sting at all. xD thank god.
god bless you all.
