Hello, I was wondering if someone could help answer a question. Our chemist has formulated a hair oil, which she made with no preservative on the basis that it is anhydrous and thus low risk. We are about to go into testing and she is now suggesting adding either Phenoxyethanol or Chlorphenesin. We really want to avoid using a preservative unless it is absolutely essential. Is it? Many thanks, Anda

  • The Ordinary's Squalane oil is very light. Or you could also try mixing it with your moisturiser before you put your foundation on. A sheet mask could also be work if you have a few extra minutes in the morning!
  • I do avoid silicones as much as I can, but it's really useful to know that fact about coconut oil. Thanks Randy!
